About Project
Project type:Sunset Portrait
Project year:2020
Tools used: Canon, Photoshop, Lightroom
OVERVIEW
The photographs were taken during my undergraduate years at university, and the style the client was expecting was to show a feminine and gentle temperament. So in the pre-in-camera colour grading, I set the white balance and tones on the warm side. I also communicated with the client about the use of props and clothing to match the style, and the shooting time was on the eve of sunset when the sunlight was softest.
CHALLENGE
The challenge with this project is that the client doesn't take photos very often, so she was a little nervous about being in front of the camera and it didn't look natural. It is difficult for the client to quickly capture and react to the emotions you want.
SOLUTION
In response to the client's unnaturalness in facing the camera, I avoided having the client look directly at the camera as much as possible and captured photos of her at different angles. Guiding her mood by chatting and letting her relax and immerse herself in the natural environment.
CONCLUSION
Overall the set was pretty well done and reaped the benefits of the client's love. Summarise in the natural light shooting environment, must be good at observing the different time of the light on the characters will produce what effect.
