OVERVIEW
This is a set of Hong Kong-style night photos, shooting location in the Yala River, the equipment used is a Canon camera with a 50mm fixed focal length lens, part of the photos used external flash.
CHALLENGE
How to use light wisely in night photography becomes the biggest challenge. Because when there is a lack of natural light in the dark, the lack of light in the lens can easily result in slow shutter speeds. This leads to blurry or out-of-focus photos.
SOLUTION
In low light conditions, set the maximum aperture possible to ensure the amount of light entering the lens. At the same time I used an assistable light prop to fill in the faces of the characters.
CONCLUSION
In the Hong Kong style shooting try to avoid the use of flash this kind of strong light to fill the light, flash hard light will be easy to directly destroy the style of the photo, as far as possible to add a soft mask with the use of in order to achieve the desired effect.
